This was the tamest and most laid back police procedural series I have ever seen. The investigator in charge of the case was very quiet and restrained, never losing his temper really, quite unusual for this kind of show. The atmosphere and scenery weren’t what I expected for a foreign entry.
That isn’t a major criticism, however. Though it made the show less compelling to me, it was also different enough to make it intriguing. I gather it is based on an actual case, and I bet most production companies would have plunked it up with more tension and arm waving and shouting. But the lead character did have the standard family problems due to his dedication, but with his daughter for a change rather than his partner.
